Food diet care and hygienic care are the two basic forms of hair care.

While genetics has a part, your food, weather, pollution, how you wash your hair, the products you use, and your general attitude to hair care are all important in keeping your crowning beauty.

High Protein foods:

A well-balanced diet influences hair and scalp health. Protein is the primary component of hair,  therefore eat at least 45 grams ( g ) every day.

Rich sources for protein:

  • Lean beef is a good source.
  • poultry\fish\beans
  • dairy items that are low in fat
  • Eggs

Inadequate protein diets can cause hair to become thin and brittle, as well as color loss and hair loss.

healthy food

Omega-3 fatty acids:

Hair follicles are stimulated in a better manner by increasing your omega-3 fatty acid intake. While this will not make your hair grow, it will help to improve the health of your scalp.

Cold-water fish such as salmon have higher Omega-3 fatty acids.

Other excellent resources include:

  • ‘seed of flax
  • ‘yogurt
  • ‘cottage cheese
  • ‘salad
  • ‘Cereal

personal Hygiene:

  • Wash oily hair more regularly for hygienic purposes. Depending on how much oil your scalp generates, you should wash your hair more often.
  • You may need to shampoo your scalp as much as once a day if it is oily.
  • You may want to wash your hair less regularly if you have chemically treated hair since it is drier.
  • You may not need to wash as frequently as you become older since your scalp produces less oil. However, if you notice flakes in your hair, you may not be washing it well enough. Dandruff and other scalp problems might develop as a result.
  • Shampoo should be applied to the scalp in a concentrated manner. Instead of shampooing the full length of your hair, concentrate on cleaning the scalp.

Choose right shampoo:

Using the wrong shampoo and styling products might cause hair damage. Look for products that are appropriate for your hair type, whether it’s oily, normal, or dry, and that address any concerns you might be having, such as dandruff.

Shampoos containing harsh chemicals like ammonium lauryl sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate should be avoided. Also, keep in mind that the price of a product does not always indicate its quality.

Get conditioner-specific to your hair type:

After washing, condition your hair to keep it smooth, shiny, and manageable. There’s also the option of using a separate conditioner or a shampoo with a built-in conditioner.

Distribute conditioner evenly by combing it through. Before washing it out, let it in your hair for two to three minutes.

Not everyone requires to condition their hair after every wash, just as not everyone needs to shampoo it. Experiment with many alternatives to determine which one suits you best.

Hair protection tips:

  • When swimming, keep your hair safe. To prevent your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine, wet and condition it before going swimming. To replenish lost moisture, use a tight-fitting swim cap and apply a specially formulated swimmers shampoo and deep conditioner after swimming.
  • When blow-drying, start with the lowest heat setting and progressively raise the heat as needed. Allow your hair to air dry if at all feasible.
  • Change the location of pins and clips to avoid localized breakage.
  • If you’re intending to color your hair, go three shades lighter or darker than your natural color.
  • Massage your scalp on a regular basis to encourage hair development and blood circulation.
  • To maintain your hair healthy and avoid split ends, get your hair trimmed every 10 to 12 weeks.
